Mr. Jack Fredrick Weatherton of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at Donalsonville Hospital. He was 79.
Graveside services will be held at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Mr. Weatherton was born October 27, 1937 in Pennsylvania to the late John Fredrick and Virginia Dare Rankie Weatherton. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time on the water. A proud veteran, Jack served his county honorably in the United State Army. He loved his family dearly, was kindhearted and possessed a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, his wife, Margaret Jean Howell Weatherton preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Skerlick (John); stepchildren: Sherry Youngblood, Mike Youngblood (Martha) and Carl Youngblood (Tammy); grandchildren: Amber Johnson Bagley (Josh), Austin Skerlick, Madison Youngblood, Shelby Youngblood, Joshua Youngblood, Seth Youngblood, Justin Palmer; great grand children: Jenna, Jaycie, Spencer, Joslynn and Jensen; one sister, Linda Bowman; other extended family and friends.
