Mrs. Margaret R. Hundley of Dothan went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Signature Health Care of North FL. She was 78. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Forrester Road, Dothan, AL, 36301. 

Mrs. Hundley was born September 17, 1938 in Geneva County to the late Reese and Carolyn Knight Register. Margaret attended school in Fadette and Slocomb and retired from K-Mart after many years of faithful service. She enjoyed cooking and loved to garden. Margaret loved the Lord and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, James Edward Hundley; two brothers: Wayne Register and Wilmer Register preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her son, Jerry Hundley (Carol), Atlanta, GA; one beloved grandson, Christopher Hundley; one sister, Myernette Elmore (Harold), Slocomb; two sisters-in-law: Donna Register, Dothan and Janice Register, Fadette; special nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Sunday school classes of Grandview Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Slocomb for the faithful love and care so freely shown to Margaret during her illness.
